Rena is a BoardSource Certified Governance Trainer, a ICF-Certified Coach with a Harvard MBA and has extensive training for facilitating planning, racial equity and Intergroup Dialogue.

Adam Parrott-Sheffer
Adam Parrott-Sheffer is an award-winning education and nonprofit sector leader with two decades of experience improving organizations to better serve all stakeholders. Currently he works with leaders globally to improve organizations and their board governance through data, design leadership pathways with special attention to entry, and successfully execute strategy. He is the strategy advisor to Harvard’s Data Wise Project and co-chair of the Data Wise in Action Institute.
He has a masters in policy from the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate in leadership from Harvard.

Project Coordinator & Executive Assistant
Sara is a skilled professional providing comprehensive support to optimize the efficiency of projects and operations. With a remarkable career spanning over two decades, Sara has honed her expertise as a seasoned project coordinator and executive assistant, demonstrating exceptional proficiency in navigating complex project landscapes. Her journey commenced as an Administrative Assistant, where she served as office manager at a global consulting firm.
Presently, Sara plays a pivotal role at Bold Agenda, adeptly assisting project management initiatives while serving as the trusted executive assistant to Rena Henderson Mason. Sara is based in suburban Chicago alongside her husband and beloved canine companion Sophie.
Addey Kifle
Addey joined Bold Agenda in 2024 and provides research, project management, and facilitation support on client engagements, workshops, and strategic planning at Bold Agenda. She brings a background in audience insights and program development, which informs her approach to understanding how mission-driven organizations operate today and how these insights translate into future opportunities.
Addey’s work involves conducting multimodal research, analyzing data, and developing strategic recommendations tailored to client needs. She is skilled at designing and facilitating meetings, creating evidence-based action plans, and improving project workflows to enhance efficiency and impact. Her commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is integral to her work, ensuring that these principles guide every aspect of her contributions.
Addey holds a Master’s degree in Museology from the University of Washington – Seattle, with a specialization in Evaluation. Her research focused on the experiences of underrepresented students in educational settings, providing her with a strong foundation in qualitative research through a DEAI lens.
